2015 Men's Track and Field
Biography
2015-2016:
- Set the school indoor record for fastest time (51.76) for the 400-meter dash at The Vince Brown invitational
- Ran a team-best in the 800-meter dash (1:57.70) at the UCS Invitational, the third-fastest indoor mark in school history
- Also ran as a leg on the 4 x 400 m relay (3:31.84), that had the third-fastest time in school history at the UCS Invitational
- competed in seven outdoor meets this spring, including two in the postseason
- ran his season-best in the 800-meter in one minute, 54.41 seconds, which placed fourth at the Mountaineer Open at Appalachian State University. The mark was Guilford’s fastest mark of the year and ranks third in school history
- also ran on the 4 x 400 relay at the Seahawk Invitational, which ran the seventh-best time in school history in 3:26.56.
- earned Third Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors in the 800 with a third-place time of 1:55.08 at the league championships.
2014-15:
- Competed in his first track season at Guilford
- Participated in five indoor and six outdoor meets as a Quaker
- Ran the second-fastest 800 in school history (1:58.67), fifth at the ODAC Indoor Championships
- Also ran on Guilford’s 4 x 400 relay team that set the school record (3:27.83) and finished third at the USC Invitational
- Set the school record in the 400 (49.59) at the Appalachian State Open
- Ran a personal best in the 800 (1.56.13) at the ODAC Outdoor Championships and placing 4th
Personal
- also ran cross country for Guilford
- studied abroad twice in Guilford's January Term program in El Salvador
- presented a research poster on My Intentional Uncomfortable Education based on his study abroad experience in El Salvador at the 2015 Guilford Undergraduate Symposium
- played two seasons as a reserve on the Quakers' men's lacrosse team
