Biography
2015-2016
- Had a team best in the long jump (6.65m) in school history at the Indoor ODAC Championships, the third farthest in school history, scoring five points
- Had a team best in the indoor 200 m dash (23.39) at the Wake Forest Invitational
- Had a season best in the indoor 60m dash (7.33) at the Wake Forest Invitational
- Competed in five meets in the outdoor season
- Ran his season best in the 100-meter dash (11.23 seconds) to qualify for the ODAC Conference Championship final, where he placed fifth in 11.33 seconds
- Also ran his season best time in the 200 (23.17 seconds) at the Vertklasse Invitational at High Point University
- Martin had a season best in the long jump, with a leap of 6.70-meters at the Seahawk Invitational at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington
- Scored for the Quakers at the ODAC Championships with a fifth place time in the 100 and a fourth place leap in the long jump.
2014-2015
- Participated in five indoor and five outdoor meets as a Quaker
- Won the ODAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Rookie of the Year Award, the first Quaker so honored
- Received the ODAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week Award (April 13th)
- Ran a season best in the 60 (7.05) at the ODAC Indoor Championships and placed third
- Ran a season best in the 200 at the Aggie Invitational (22.21)
- Clocked Guilford’s the sixth fastest 200 time (23.11) at the ODAC Indoor Championships, to finish sixth
- Set the school record for the long jump, (6.81m) at the ODAC Indoor Championships
- Had the third-longest triple jump (6.74) in school history at the Outdoor ODAC Championships, which placed fourth
- Ran a personal best in the 100 (10.92), finishing second in the ODAC Outdoor Championships
