• earned four varsity letters at Garner Magnet High School for coach John Oerter
• also lettered four times in soccer
• two-time All-South Wake Athletic Conference (SWAC) selection
• received honorable mention all-region laurels
• four-time academic all-conference honoree
• graduated as Garner’s career leader in points and goals  
• played four years for the Red Devil United Club under coach Scott Olive
