Personal

• joined his teammates to run in a five-kilometer race in the fall of 2016 that raised some $4,000 for autism research
• earned four varsity letters at East Forsyth High School under coach Andrew Allison
• received third-team all-state and second-team all-region laurels from the North Carolina High School Athletic Association
• named First Team All-Metro Conference
• also named the league's Offensive Player of the Year
• graduated with school records for assists and ground balls in a season
• played for Triad Elite for two years
