Career

  • Guilford's first cross country All-American
  • participated in 25 events and was a four-time All-South performer
  • holds eight of the school’s top-20 eight-kilometer times and competed in a school-record three NCAA Championships

2013

  • competed in eight events
  • fastest time came at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional where he finished fourth in 24 minutes, 41.81 seconds, a school record
  • finished second in five of his eight races, including the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships and the NCAA Regional
  • earned First Team All-ODAC recognition after finishing second at the ODAC Championships and received USTFCCCA All-South recognition for his fourth-place finish at the NCAA DIII Regional race
  • earned the school's first All-America honors by virtue of his 26th-place finish at the Division III Championships where he posted a time of 25:14.0

2012

  • named to the USTFCCCA 2012 Division III Men’s Cross Country All-Academic Team
  • made his second straight appearance at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Nov. 17 in Terre Haute, Ind. and crossed the finished line in a personal-best 25:31.1
  • his eight-kilometer time ranks fifth in school history and his 73rd-place finish marks the best NCAA result by a Guilford runner
  • also had a strong performance in the NCAA Division III Cross Country South/Southeast Regionals Nov. 10 in Hampton, Ga
  • placed 11th and earned all-region honors for the second straight season with a time of 26:23.84
  •  also received First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) recognition by virtue of his eighth place finish at the ODAC Championships Oct. 27 in with a time of 27:01.49
  • finished second at the Charlotte XC Invitational on Sept. 28 with a time of 26:02.33, the 10th-best finish in school history

2011 

  • had the Quakers' best time in six of seven meets
  • earn Division III Cross Country All-Academic status from the USTFCCCA
  • received All-South recognition and became the second Guilford student to reach the NCAA Division III Championships with his fifth-place time of 26:34.5 (8k)
  • finished 177th among 300 runners at the NCAA Championships with a time of 25:45.71, the sixth-fastest time in school history
  • earned First Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors with a fourth-place finish in 26:12.4 (8k) 
  • set Guilford's five-kilometer record at the Adidas XC Challenge with a time of 15:24.9, which placed 15th
  • ran the second-best eight-kilometer time in school history (25:11.4) at the Charlotte Invitational and finished 27th in the predominantly Division I meet
  • took second at the N.C. Collegiate Championships with a time of 27:16.18

 

2010

  • received All-South/Southeast Region recognition
  • participated in all six events for the Quakers as Guilford’s number-two or three runner
  • best eight-kilometer time came on Nov. 13 at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional where he ran a season-best 26:00 and finished 12thChad Norton
  • best finish came on October 16 at the N.C. Collegiate Championships where he finished third with a time of 26:33

Personal 

  • serves as a resident advisor
  • teaching assistant in the physics department
  • four-time member of the Academic All-ODAC Team
  • eight-time member of Guilford's Student-Athlete Honor Roll
  • lettered four years in cross country and track under coach Justin Schumacher at Walled Lake Central
  • his all-conference performance helped his team win the Kensington Lakes Athletic Conference track title
  • won two team division titles in high school as well as all-county and all-region recognition
  • personal bests in high school: 1600m: 4:31, 3200m: 9:27, and 5k:16:03
