The Quakers set the tone early and never really looked back. Guilford scored seven unanswered goals in the first quarter alone, opening the floodgates just 42 seconds into the game with a goal from Palombo, assisted by Workman. That was quickly followed by tallies from Fitch, Brown, Puopolo, two more from Palombo, and finally Brown once again. The backline stifled the Wildcats throughout the quarter, while Safavi-Abbasi made three saves to maintain the first quarter shutout.
The Quakers opened the second quarter with style, as Foxwell notched a goal in the first 12 seconds of the quarter, thanks to a Gravley helper. Randolph responded rather quickly with a goal by Leyton Brightly, but Guilford's offense proved unstoppable. Mills scored a goal at the 10:09 mark, assisted by Workman. Woods followed with one of his own before Mills decided to add another one to his statline. Campbell closed out the scoring efforts in the quarter, adding Guilford's 12th goal of the game.
The third quarter saw more of the same, with the Quakers pouring in five more goals. Palombo secured his quad-feed 51 seconds into the quarter while Brown notched his hat-trick at the 10:27 mark, assisted by Palombo. The WildCats did respond with a pair of their own before the Quakers decided to dump two more thanks to Woods and Foxwell adding to the scoring efforts. Brightly and Baldwin added their third and second of the game but were quickly responded to with a last-minute goal by Foxwell.
Guilford closed out the game with yet another handful of goals in the frame. Woods added a pair while Mills, Foxwell, and Palombo pitched in one more goal each. The Quakers took advantage of multiple man-up opportunities and continued to dominate the possession game. Randolph managed just four shots on target in the fourth, with Satterwhite denying the lone attempt that found the frame.
