WINCHESTER, Va.. -- For the right to head to Virginia Beach in the semifinals, the men's tennis team first had to battle past familiar conference foe Shenandoah in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) quarterfinals. Needing to only reach five overall wins to clinch victory, the no. 4 Hornets swept through a hard-fought doubles rubber, and claimed the two necessary singles matches to down the no. 4 Quakers, 5-0.
GC wraps up their 2023-24 campaign at 8-9, 5-4 in the conference. SU improves to 14-6 overall (7-2 ODAC) and awaits the winner of no. 1 Washington and Lee and no. 8 Hampden-Sydney in the semifinals, to be played on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan University.
This marks Guilford's second consecutive season of five conference wins, and now awaits potential all-ODAC selections.
