GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Off of an emotional hard-fought victory this past Friday, the women's tennis squad concluded their home slate at the McMichael courts on Sunday afternoon, as 47th-ranked Averett came to town. Unfortunately, the team could not repeat their heroic efforts of days' past, falling to the Cougars 9-0.
Guilford's record falls to 7-9, 3-6 in conference play. GC sits at ninth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), searching for outside assistance to sneak into postseason play. AU sits tied at top of the conference with an 8-0 conference record, 12-4 overall.
The Quakers conclude their regular season slate next weekend, heading upstate to Virginia Beach to battle the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan. Start time on Saturday, April 20 is set for 2:00 p.m.
