ROUND 4 RESULTS
The Guilford College men's golf team hit the course for one final time in the 2022-23 season at the NCAA Championship. The Quakers finished the day with a score of 286 (-2), grabbing the seventh spot with a four-round total of 1164.
Junior
Sam Davidson continued his consistent play with a three-under round of 69 and finished tied for fourth overall. Sophomore
Michael Vick was also under-par for the day, carding a 70 (-2) to place tied for ninth.
Junior
James Alden had the third lowest round for Guilford with a 73 (+1) for a tie at 56th. Sophomores
Parker Cumbea and
Evan Mendyk ended their round with scores of 74 and 75, respectively. Mendyk finished tied for 47th while Cumbea was tied for 69th.
Following the conclusion of the event, the All-Tournament team was announced as Davidson and Vick were named members for their play. Additionally, the PING All-American First Team was celebrated as Vick earned his second accolade of the afternoon.
Earlier in the week, the PING All-Region Teams were released. Two familiar names from the Quakers were listed as both
Sam Davidson and
Michael Vick were honored.
