Quakers Compete in NCAA South/Southeast Regionals

ROME, Ga. - Guilford College's Sommer Fanney posted the school's 15th fastest all-time six-kilometer finish Saturday as the Quakers' women placed 24th with 666 points in the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Cross Country Championships, hosted by Berry College. Caleb Amstutz led the men's side, who placed 29th with 829 points.

Caleb Amstutz's time finished 134th to lead the men with an eight-kilometer mark of 28:47.96. Amstutz's time was a part of a pack of eight runners where their finish ranged from 28:40 to 28:50.

Caleb Anderson ran the second-fastest time for the men, placing 157th with a time of 29:35.72. Anderson's time was nearly 14 seconds away from cracking the top-150 runners.
